Spring is the the season of change and growth

Good Morning!


I have been using foods for their seasonal and healing essence for many years now, til it has become second nature for me.  I look forward to what the upcoming season will bring to my local farmers market or grocery store and imagine the delectable dishes that I will prepare for myself.  These things I learned from my mother and then Grand Master Lu shared the wisdom of using foods for their healing messages in his many programs.

Although I have not yet cultivated my own garden for veg and fruits, I understand the joy that must bring to those that do.

So today I will share posts from TCM World Foundation that I hope you enjoy and find useful at this time of year and going forward.  The first speaks to using Nature for guidance in your path to health and wellness, and for guidance in daily life.

Think of Spring as Nature's reset button. Use this time to organize your space, set new intentions, or begin a creative project.

1. Nature is "waking - up": Follow your instant feeling and do things you have always wanted to do. 2. Practice as energy is rising: Wake earlier and begin your day with gentle movement like Qigong or walking to encourage the free flow of energy.

3. Eat for essence:  Eat more leafy greens, sprouts, and young vegetables. These Liver-supporting foods help clear stagnation and carry the consciousness of new life. 

4. Express yourself: Liver Qi is sensitive now so you may feel more frustration or irritability. Rather than holding it in, find outlets that help emotions flow: journaling, music, conversation, dancing, or throwing eggs (maybe only a few)5. Declutter:Plant new seeds, literally and energetically. 6. Be flexible: Can you see the other side of things?  It's waiting for you and will bring balance into your life."
