Some Thoughts on Managing Your Emotions

Good Morning!

Fall is a time of mixed emotions for many of us.  Sadness, joy, anger, love and even fear.  These emotions, no matter what they are or how they feel, must be expressed; they are one of the body's most important means through which to keep Qi flowing freely and achieve the tenuous balance that is critical to good health.

In Chinese Medicine's Five Element Framework, each emotion is linked not only to all the others, but to their own organ system, meridian and other factors.  Learn more here:

So no matter what emotion you are feeling, understand and appreciate the messages from your body.  Be grateful for them.  Shed a tear.  Have a laugh. Express yourself and let the emotion pass through and flow.  Commune with a tree, the ocean, or a flowing stream as you give your emotions to the earth or the universe.  Watch the clouds float past or the raindrops fall.  As the trees release their leaves in anticipation of a new year, a new season and the spring that is sure to come, find inner peace and calmness.

And if you missed the Northern Lights, as did I, never fear...the Universe has another treat in store for us as we experience October's Full Moon on Thursday.  If you want to join our virtual meditation for a powerful energetic Qi boost, read more:

And if you celebrate your birthday in the month of October, a very happy birthday to you.  May the year ahead be filled with love and joy and may all your birthday wishes come true.  Wish BIG!

With love and gratitude,

Esther
