Happy Lunar New Year: The Year of the Wood Snake

Good Morning!

The anticipation and excitement I've been feeling is coming to fruition.  Today is the onset of the Lunar New Year which this year aligns with the essence of the Wood Snake.  Over the past week I have sent links to some of the blog posts from TCM World Foundation describing the many traditions that surround the celebrations that are centuries old.

Today's post summarizes and further explains these traditions.  So if you want to learn more or haven't had a chance to open the links before today, click below and enjoy.

This year, my plan is to be lazy (like the Snake) and head to my favorite or local Chinese restaurant, or to Trader Joe's freezer section, and eat my fill of dumplings and long life noodles, open some fortune cookies and just have fun.  All eaten with chopsticks of course.

You can Google how to say Happy New Year in Mandarin and impress everyone.  Correct pronunciation is everything in the Modern and Old Chinese language.

With love and gratitude and wishes for a Prosperous, Lucky and Happy Year of the Wood Snake,

--
